We invite authors (or wannabe authors) to write about business, government, non-profits, events, and life in Gratiot County. We provide news and analysis that residents might not get from commercial news sites.

The Gratiot County Democratic Party sponsors this site, but we solicit submissions from all sources, including Republican writers—Republicans live here, too. We want to provide insights unavailable elsewhere, and we have to be even-handed in our reporting. We all have to work together, whatever our politics, to ensure our leaders and institutions act with integrity and responsiveness to Gratiot County needs.

You must be registered on our Ghost site as a contributor to have an author byline on your article. To do this, email your proposed article to [email protected] from a personal account. If your proposed article is something suitable for publication here, we'll send back a contributor invite, and you can create the post on our site.

By registering on our Ghost site as a contributor, you agree we may make reasonable edits to your submissions and distribute them publicly with your byline. You can copy our edits to your submission and distribute the edited work to other publications without attribution to us.
